Moses Popwell Died Last Thursday, February 23rd.
The death of Moses Popwell occurred at his home near Bethel Church last Thursday. His age was 76 years. He is survived by his wife, who is a sister of Mr. J. B. Downs of Clanton, and three children, Forest, Fulman who lives in Oklahoma and Mrs.Wesley Hand.
Mr. Popwell was born in this county, one of sixteen children. There are only three of the original sixteen now living, Mrs. Jane Wyatt, age 90, Madison Popwell, age 86, and Alfred Popwell, age 84.
The funeral was conducted Friday by Elder J. A. Kelly,and the remains buried in Popwell cemetery. The deceased was a member of Bethel Church.

In 1932, Joyce Popwell was listed in the Birmingham City Directory. She was the widow of Moses, living at 1615 8th Ave, North. Forest Popwell, laborer, was living at the same address.
