1694 Northern Neck Grants. 200 acres, Washington Parish, Westmoreland.
A book is cited. I found no grant on the LofVA website - not under the Veale name, nor Quigley, nor Richard Griffin. Part of this supposed to be "birthplace of George Washington.... Another researcher state that the date was 1672, but said to be in Northern Neck Land Grants, 1694-1712, by Gertrude E. Gray, 1988.

Westmoreland Deeds & Wills, No. 2, 1690-1699: John F. Dorman, 1965
Will of Morris Veale of Westmoreland Co, Washington Parish. 3 Oct 1695
Sons: Morris, John & William to divide Plantation; can be of age at 16 if wife remarries. Named daughters Amey, Elenor, Mary - livestock to be delivered to each at the day of her marriage. Morris and John to each have a gun. Loving wife Dorothy, executrix. Darby Sullivant, Richard Hancock & Tobias Butler to be trustees and overseers.
None of the sons were yet 16 in 1695, so all born after 1679. None of daughters appear to be much older since none are yet married. Yet Dorothy first appeared in Court records as Dorothy Veale, in 1672/3.
Probate was 29 Jul 1696.
Will of Morris Veale, deceased, proven in Court by James Taylor, Richard Bennett and Morris Veale. Administration granted to Dorothy, wife and Executrix. She is to return an inventory of the estate to the next Court.

The will was proved 29 July 1696 by both witnesses.

30 Aug 1697 Tobias Butler granted 720 acres, Westmoreland Co, on branch of Topes Beaver Dames which divides the acerage from the land of Gerard Fitgerald, and the land of Ambrose Bacheler. down the branch that leads to the Gravelly Run; down the run to line of Morice Veal and along the line of said Veal to land of Ambrose Backster....
Veale researchers have taken this to mean the younger Morris Veal, but knowing how long it took for grants to be perfected, I think it more likely the Survey was done while Morris Veale, the elder, was still living. Boundaries from the original survey were often copied over from deed to deed even after the owners cited had died or moved on.

Another Morrice Veale of Norfolk County, PLanter, left a will dated 28 June 1705; proved 10 Feb 1705 (dates double checked - obviously proved 1705/06 with O.S. dating)
Wife Elizabeth amd son William to be executors. Wife Elizabeth to receive a third part. Sons William, Morrice, John. Remainder to be divided between Six children - William, Mary, Elizabeth, Morris, John, Jenny. Signed Morris Veale.
Witnesses: John Tully, Mary Tully (her mark), John Willis
