Nathaniel married Susannah Butler as per Marriage bond in Caswell:

An online database listed another daughter - Liddey - who married Zenas Bush, 14 Jan 1797 in Caswell Co. She apparently died before her father and left no heirs. And she would not have appeared with the family in 1800, if she was their daughter.

Nathaniel was not named in the following division of his father's estate settlement - he was already deceased. It is curious his children were not considered, perhaps this was a partial settlement.

The total acreage above, 108 + 216.5 acres, nearly exactly equals the 325 acres of the two tracts of land that this Nathaniel Rice owned.

Robert Mitchell was one of the witnesses to the will of John Rice, 1797. Kerr was mentioned as a neighbor in John's original grant of 640 acres.

Richard Estes had also been one of John Rice's original neighbors.

28 Feb 1806 Part of legatees of Nathaniel Rice dec'd: son Archibald Rice, Anderson Birk and Nancy his wife, William Scoggins & Patsey his wife to Anderson Williams. Nathaniel Rice in his lifetime sold Anderson Williams 440 acres on the South for of County Line Creek adj Henry Williams dec'd, Nathaniel Rice dec'd, William Slade being part of 640 acres granted to John Rice Sr. 3 Mar 1779.
