John was deceased when his father wrote his will in 1796, leaving a widow Susannah. John's father provided Susannah with a life estate of 30 acres and she was still living there in 1807. Apparently there were no children.

WB C, p.199 January Court 1797 Sales estate of John Rice Jun. included sales to William Rice, Nathaniel Rice, John Rice, Susannah Rice, Nathan Williams. His father had also died; it's possible the Jun/Sen was misread.
