Edmund maybe married Martha Brown, 30 Nov 1814, Caswell Co. She apparently died prior to 1840 which is the last census in which Edmund appears.

An older Edmund Brown was also present in Caswell - he married Henrietta Rice, 5 Dec 1795. Some have attributed the marriage to Martha Brown as his second marriage, but I doubt this as in 1850, the older Edmund was in the census in Madison Co, AL and his wife was Sarah. In 1840, the older Edmund was already living in Madison Co, AL.
