She is said to be the child of William Kendrick, b. 1704 in King William Co VA & died 1777 in Warren Co NC and his second wife Sarah Jones, b. 17 Jul 1714 in Suffolk Co VA and d. 1796 in Warren Co NC. They were married about 1726.

Will of MARY FOX of Mecklenburg County, Virginia.
She gives to her son, HENRY FOX, that tract of land
she bought of Benjamin Pennington, except a corner
which runs into the tract whereon she now lives,
supposed to be 5 acres, and this she desires be sold
with her husband's land and the money to be divided as
is directed by his will. This legacy to HENRY is
intended as his full legacy, and if he should fail to
grant prompt and full discharges, the land given to
him shall be sold to pay any claim he may bring
against her estate. She gives to her daughter, MARY
KENDRICK FOX, a negro girl Aggy. She lends, in trust,
to her son HENRY, for the use of her daughter, SALLY
JONES NORVELL, for her life, a negro boy Nicholas, and
at her death, Nicholas to go to her son WILLIAM
NORVELL, and if William should predecease his mother,
then Nicholas to be sold and the money divided among
the surviving children of her said daughter. She
gives to her daughter, JO HANNAH FOX, a negro girl
Fanny Bailey, and a saddle and bridle. She gives to
her daughter PRISCILLA FOX, a negro girl named
Courtnay Bailey, a mare called Spinnett, and a saddle
and bridle. She gives to her daughter, BETSY FOX, a
negro boy Burwell, and a woman called Doll, but not
her future increase, and her saddle and bridle. She
gives to grandson, ARTHUR FOX, a negro boy Randolph.
The increase of the negro woman Doll is to be equally
divided among MARY KENDRICK FOX, JO HANNAH FOX,
PRISCILLA FOX, and BETSY FOX. She askes that her
negro boy Robin be sold to the highest bidder, upon 12
months credit, and out of the money she gives to her
daughters JO HANNAH and BETSY 12 Pounds each. She
appoints her son HENRY FOX, RICHARD FOX, William
Davis, James Harwell and John Davis, Jr. as executors.
