Aug 1754 Edward Clark of Albemarle co., Eldest son and heir at law to Christopher Clark, dec'd., to Thomas Moorman of Louisa co, For 10 shillings. 400 acres bounded by lands of George Holland, William Hudson and David Anderson (which formerly Francis Smithson's land) ; sd. land was devised by said Christopher Clark to the sd. Thomas Moorman and Rachel, his wife, who is a daughter of the said Christopher, for life only, the words of sd. Christopher's will passing no greater estate to them, although the sd. Christopher intended ( as the sd. Edward is truly sensible) to have devised the fee simple estate of the land Sig. Edward Clark.

Married William Ballard at the Cedar Creeek Monthly Meeting.

Said to have died at age 82, which means she was born in 1710. [ I believe several of the birthdates of Rachel and her siblings are incorrect and they were a few years older than indicated.]
