Born 15 Oct 1881, Alabama. Instructor at the University of Arkansas. Married to Alice Wesson. Father was H. H. Burleson, mother was Anne Morrow, both born in Alabama. The informant was Clare Burleson. Buried Fairview Cemetery, May 18th.

Agricultural Head Dies at Fayetteville After Hemorrhage
Fayetteville, Ark. - Prof. David Jasper Burleson, 54, of the University of Arkansas College of Agriculture, a member of the State Agronomy Board, died suddenly here Sunday following a cerebral hemorrhage.
Professor Burleson had attended a faculty picnic and apparently was in good health.
He was born in Alabama, October 15, 1882.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Charles Glen and David Burleson, Jr. and a daughter Clare Burleson, all of Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday.
