Obituary posted by Freda Sullivan Tucker from unknown newspaper. Emily Kirkpatrick Services Sept. 10 in Piedmont. Emily Alice Kirkpatrick, daughter of George W. and Nancy Jane Clark Rainwater, was born at Greenville, Mo. on October 27, 1891 and departed this life Sept. 7, 1975 at Doctors Hospital in Poplar Bluff, Mo., at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 10 days. On July 22, 1908, she was united in marriage to Joseph Andrew R. Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1964. Mrs. Kirkpatrick is survived by four sons, Edward B. Kirkpatrick and Billy Kirkpatrick both of Stigler, Okla., Ellis A. Kirkpatrick of Piedmont, Mo., Elmer L. Kirkpatrick of St. James, Mo., eight daughters, Irene Magnausson of St. James, Mo., Inez Martin of Stigler, Okla., Julie Hicks of Shreveport, La., Caroline Young of Omaha, Neb., Dorothy Carrow and Betty Kime, both of Piedmont, Mo., Freda McMurry of St. Louis and Edna Darden of Fenton, Mo. She is also survived by 45 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, one sister, Effie Bernard of Piedmont, Mo.; one brother Corbert Rainwater of Puxico, Mo., other relatives and a host of friends. A nephew Ray Kirkpatrick, who was reared as a son preceded her in death. Prayer service was held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gish Bowles and Coder Chapel with the Rev. Jack Stevens presiding. Funeral service was conducted Wednesday September 10, at 1:30 p.m.. in the Piedmont Chapel, Michael King presiding. Glendell Twidwell was soloist and Marjorie Bowles, pianist. Internment was in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dick Hicks, Bob Kirkpatrick, John Bauer, Andy Darden, Fred Kime, Jr., and Ken Bauer.
