It was a nice home gathering on the fourth of July at the well known Goheen home at Rock Springs, when four generations came to spend the day with Pappy Goheen, who is the oldest man in Spring Creek Valley. He is active as a man of fifty and look after his large farm. Rev Milliken Goheen, who spent thirty years as a missionary worker in India was the guest of Honor.

Burial

GOHEEN- William Goheen, a well known retired farmer and auctioneer of wide reputation, of Harris township, died quite suddenly about 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning of last week as the result of an attack of angina pectoris. While he had not been in the best of health during the past year he made no complaint and was up and around as usual on Wednesday morning. Shortly before eleven o'clock Mrs. Goheen went to a neighbor's house nearby on an errand. When she returned she found her husband dead in his favorite rocking chair, the body sagging foreword in the chair.
Mr. Goheen was a son of Mr. and Mrs Robert Goheen and was born in the farm, near Oak Hall, seventy seven years ago. When he grew to manhood he also engaged in farming and for many years tilled the soil on his farm east of Boalsburg. Fifteen or more years ago he retired and moved into a comfortable home in Boalsburg where he had since lived.
He married Miss Catharine Woods, a sister of former Ambassador Cyrus Woods, who survives with one son and a daughter, Matthew M Goheen on the farm homestead, and Mrs Margareta Tussey of Boalsburg. He also leaves one brother John B Goheen of Rock Springs.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, interment at Boalsburg. Rev J. M. Kirkpatrick pastor of the Presbyterian Church and paster of the deceased, officiated.

Probate

Settlement of estate value at $24,103.90 He left evrything to his wife. Will witnessed by W. A. Murray and L. E. Kidded.
