Burial Boalsburg Cemetery on 5 January 1929
It is with profound sorrow that we chronicle the death of Margretta Goheen Tussey, wife of R Edwin Tussey who passed to her reward at her home at Boalsburg Thursday at 7:00 A.M. after a brief illness of pneumonia. Margaretta was a daughter of the late William and Catherine Woods Goheen and was born Harris Township 35 years ago. She was educated at Pennsylvania State College and was a noted educator and school teacher. After her marriage in 1919, she went with her husband to reside in Blair County, returning to her home of Boalsburg in 1926, to be near her good parents, both now deceased. Her death removes from the Presbyterian membership and community a lady of unusual worth, beauty of character and the home town is made poorer by her departure, though it is compensated by the influential qualities of mine and heart which remain behind, Her's was a true and noble womanhood, who endeared herself with the young. Her word was always a word of wisdom and her example full of inspiration full of piety and devotion and faith, and ever more will her children rise up and call her blessed. She was a member of the Presbyterian church from youth, and active in all of its activities. She was president of the Women's missionary society, a member of the civic club and a Sunday school teacher. Surviving are her husband and three children, William G., Mary and Kathryn, and one brother J. M. Goheen all of Boalsburg. Funeral services were held at the residence Saturday at 2 P.M. in charge of her pastor, Rev W K Harn--- who paid a high tribute to her worth to home ad church circles. Interment was made in Boalsburg Cemetery.
