He was born in Potter township on December 8, 1876, a son of William and Katherine Woods Goheen, both deceased. Mr Goheen was married on February 19, 1902, to Mary Hosterman, who survives with a son Richard of Indiana. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services were held at his home Saturday afternoon with Rev. J M Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial was made in Boalsburg

Obituary:Mathew Woods Goheen, 64 Years, one month and eight days old, died at his home in Boalsburg this morning at 4:45 o'clock of a stroke following a three-year illness. He was born in Potter Township Centre county, on December 8, 1876 the son of William and Katherine Woods Goheen, both deceased.
Mr Goheen was married to Mary Hosterman, who survives, on February 19, 1902. A son, Richard of Indiana also survives. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at his home Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev J M Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg
