Susannah Query Lucas, the seventh child o f Daniel Query and Susannah (Co x) Query, was born June 21, 1853 at At kinsonville, Indiana and departed this li fe February 17, 1939, age 8 3 years, 7 months and 28 days. She was united with t he Baptist Churc h at the age of 13 and lived a devoted Christian life to the en d, an d even as the end neared, she sang two verses of the grand old song, B less ed Assurance. She was united in marriage to Isaac Newton Lucas o n September 1, 1870. To this union were born 13 children, nine precedi ng her death. Most of her life was spent in and near Atkinsonville, wi th the exception of a few year s in Illinois. Her last preceding year s were spent in Jordan Village. The dece ased is survived by her husb and, Isaac Newton Lucas; one sister, Julia Huber, t hree daughters an d one son; Mrs. Anna Williams of Center Point, Indiana, Mrs. F lora Ul rich, Mrs. Daisy Meek, and Mr. Fred Lucas of Jordan Village; also 48 g ra ndchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren .
