BANGOR - Charline Sarah Hawkes, 74, died Sept. 25, 1983, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Bangor, Jan. 21, 1909, the daughter of Edwin and Florence (Jameson) Wilson. She had been a resident of Bangor most of her life. She was a graduate of Bangor High School, class of 1928, a member of the First Universalist Church of Bangor and a former member of the Bangor Art Society. She is survived by her husband, George W. Hawkes of Bangor; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Norma Hawkes of Brunswick; three grandchildren, James Paul Hawkes, John Paul Hawkes and Sarah Anne Hawkes, all of Brunswick; one brother, Ralph E. Wilson of Freeport. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Alexander B. Cairns officiating.Endnotes
