Mrs. Florence J. Wilson, 88, of Bangor died at a local hospital Saturday morning following a long illness. She was born in Lincoln, October 10, 1875, the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Gates) Jameson. A member of the Universalist Church, she also was active in the Toothaker and Staples Classes of the church. Surviving are two sons, Reginald B. of Portland and Ralph E. of Yarmouth; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Boynton of Bangor, Mrs. George W. Hawkes Jr. of Bangor and Miss S. Marie Wilson of Bangor; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Brookings-Smith Funeral Home, 133 Center Street, today from 9 to 11 a.m. Grave-side funeral services will be held this noon at Maple Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Gordon J. Svoboda, pastor of the First Universalist Church, officiating.Endnotes
