Obituary
Mrs. Ida F. McCarthy, 76, widow of John W. McCarthy, died Tuesday at a Bethesda, Md., hospital following a brief illness. Born in Bangor, September 7, 1883, she was the daughter of William J. and Sarah Sweeney. Mrs. McCarthy was a resident of Bangor until 15 years ago when she moved to Bethesda. Surviving are a son, William. J., of Bethesda, Md., a brother, William J. Sweeney of Bangor; a half-sister, Mrs. Louis S. Thebeau of Bangor, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Crowe Funeral Home, 18 Forest Avenue, Bangor, this evening. Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church, Bangor, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock.Endnotes
