Jonathan Cable

(Abt, 1807 - 1895)

Jonathan Cable was born probably in 1807, probably in Pennsylvania, no information on his parents. He married first Eliza Frey they were living in Somerset, Pennsylvania when their first child John was born. They moved to Wisconsin where Jonathan was a millwright. He married second Charlotte Knapp they moved to Pleasant Grove, Iowa where he built a mill then began farming. His family was one of the first to join the Methodist Church. Jonathan's death and burial are unknown.
