John Cable

John Cable was the first son of Jonathan Cable and Eliza, born in Somerset County Pennsylvania. By 1850 the family was in Wisconsin, then in Iowa on a farm. John lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Chicago. He was a railroad contractor and is listed as an inventor in his obituary. He married Frances Allen they had a son Chauncey. He died December 5th, 1924 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago, heart trouble and is buried at Peasant Grove Cemetery, headstone not yet found.
