June D. Field, age 74, of New Richmond, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Westfields Hospital.
She was born the daughter of Sam and Tilda (Walby) Thompson on June 17, 1935, in Nye, Wis. June was baptized and confirmed at West Immanuel Lutheran Church. On Oct. 2, 1955, she married Curtis Field in Star Prairie, Wis. June and Curtis were wonderful caregivers to each other. Curtis passed away in February 2002. After 28 years, June retired from Andersen Windows.
She loved playing cards, especially poker and canasta. June was loving and generous person who adored and spoiled her grandchildren.
June is survived by her daughter, Onagene (Bud Jones) Field; sons, Wade (Bonnie) Field, Dennis Field, Joe (Wendy) Field; grandchildren, Calie Asplund, Tanner (Stephanie) Asplund, Lindsey Jo Asplund, Aaron Asplund, Missy (Bill) Gary, Eric Erickson, Anthony Troutz, Derek Field, Ashley Field; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Reese, Wyatt, Krysta, Anthony, Devin; sisters, Betty (Paul) Singerhouse, Suzanne (Gary) Peterson; brother, Wayne (Idell) Thompson; special friend, Herman Keller; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Tilda Thompson; step-father, Dale Foss; husband, Curtis Field; sisters, Fern Wells, Mae Larson; brothers, Dale, Gene, Lyle, Norris, Darrel and Dean Thompson.
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 4, at West Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Alden, Wis. Visitation was Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary and Friday from 10-11 a.m. before the service at church. Interment was in the New Richmond Cemetery.
Arrangements were with Bakken-Young’s Beebe Mortuary of New Richmond.
