Alfred R. Larsen
Alfred Robert Larsen, 76, prominent Hudson farmer, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 24, in the emergency room of Hudson Medical Center.
He was born in Troy township May 24, 1911, the son of Louis C. and Mary (Karras) Larsen.
He was educated in area schools and assisted his parents in the operation of the family farm. He farmed his entire life in Troy township and was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.
On September 22, 1939, in Hudson, he was married to Helen Rohl.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; a son, John (Jack) Larsen of Hudson; a daughter, Deborah Larsen of Marathon; two sisters, Helen Yanish of South St. Paul and Mrs. William (Agnes) Noltner of River Falls; and a brother, Joseph C. Larsen of Hudson.
Preceding him in death were his parents, three sisters, Mrs. I. W. Mann, Anna Larsen and Mrs. Albert Lettengarver, and two brothers, Louis, Jr. and a boy who died at the age of nine.
Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Dusek, Leo Rohl, Donald Rohl, Isaac Mann, Paris Campbell and Lawrence Rohl.
