William H. Searls of Finger Butte and Nellie Nelson also of the Finger Butte
community were united in marriage at Jordan Tuesday, November 13th. Rev. J.
Maier of the Ev. Lutheran church of Jordan performed the ceremony. Patrick C.
Hollenback and Daisy Hollenback were witnesses. Mr. and Mrs. Searls have taken
up their home at the ranch near Finger Butte.
They are accorded the well wishes of a host of friends both in their own
community and Jordan.

Mrs. Nellie Rothermel, 89, died Monday
in Garfield County Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 4,
1882, in Nebraska. She moved to Jordan in 1917.
Survivors include a niece,
Mrs. Nellie Burchette, Jordan, and a nephew, Alfred Haney, Jordan. Burial will
be in Greenridge Cemetery.

May Haney told us that Nellie had one child, a daughter, who died at about two
weeks of age, while married to Lou Nelson.

was not able to have more children, the result of a disease she caught from her
husband.
