Christine Casdanova, the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Catherine (Karras) Casanova, was born in Hudson, February 22, 1899.
She died at Hudson Memorial Hospital Tuesday, December 20.
She attended St. Patrick's Parochial School in Hudson and the Rasmussen Business College in Stillwater.
For many years she was employed as a secretary for the Redman Creamery company, the law firm of Haven & Ashley, and Willow River Power Company. She was also employed, for a time, in the office of the family owned business, Casanova Beverage Compnay. She retired from business in 1940.
During her long residency here, she was active in church activities. She served as vice president of Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and was a member of the Catholic Women's Council and it's former president.
On November 28, 1939, she was married to Nick J. Delmonico. They made their home at 130 Seventh St. N.
Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, December 22, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. Thomas Keilen and Rev. Robert E. O'Connell officiating.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers, all nephews, were John Casanova of Racine, Patrick Casanova of River Falls, Jerry Baumgartner of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Conrad Villella of Minneapolis, Dennis Villella of St. Paul and Dr. Ronald Villela of Edina, Minnesota.
Surviving are her husband, Nick; a sister, Katherine Baumgartner of Rosemount, Minnesota; brothers, Dr. John Casanova of Watertown and Leonard and Raymond Casanova, both of Hudson.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Agnes Ryan.
