Death
Catherine E. Keller, 93, of Lafayette, died at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Home Hospital. She was born July 31, 1915, in Fountain County, to the late Luke and Georgia Flemming Furr. On Dec. 7, 1935, she married Harold F. Keller in Covington, and he survives. Mrs. Keller had been a member of Stidham United Methodist Church since 1951. She was a Pink Lady volunteer at Home Hospital and a den mother for Cub Scouts. She enjoyed flower gardening, ceramics, knitting and cooking, and was known for her smile. Surviving with her husband are four sons, Leon Keller (wife: Judith) of West Point, Edwin Keller (wife: Lucille) of Attica, Rex Keller (wife: Janice) of LaPorte and Ritchie Keller (wife: Suzanne) of Lafayette; two sisters, Margaret Austin of Mellott and Florence Epperson of Winter Haven, Fla.; and two brothers, Eugene Furr (wife: Ann) of Danville, Ill., and William Furr of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, with services 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, David Inskeep officiating. Interment at Farmers Institute Cemetery.
