In June 1996, Carol Petranek went to Mystra and found the Eftaxas family in the records of the town hall.
First name was written as Katigo in town record.
Birth month, year and place found in town record.
June 2006 - received letter from Mayor of Mistras with day of birth.

Known as "Katiniko".

Married to a man by the name of Theothousis.
They had seven children.

Per Catherine Kostakos, 2008: They lived in New York City - maybe 28th or 29th Street - lived close to the Petrons. There were two apartments on the same floor, one flight up from the street, and the family rented both apartment to be able to house the whole family.

Aug. 2, 2003 - Mom and Aunt Bertha Pouletsos said that the family bought lots in Massapequa, Long Island with the Petron family many years before Long Island began to develop. Mom and Aunt Bertha visited the family a lot with yiayia.

This was a large family and they were poor. Yiayia would bring food to the house when they visited. When they visited, the cousins all had a good time together. Mom doesn't know what happened, but the family eventually lost touch. They didn't come to Mom's wedding in 1946.

In Feb. 1994, Amanda Costas (Costianes) Moore wrote a letter to Carol Petranek. About this family, she said, "I thought Katina Theothousiou had more than 7 children but your mother should know. I remember visiting them as a child. I especially liked Georgia who had lovely red hair and was several years older. We lost contact with them.

Our family lost touch with this family so Aunt Bertha or Mom don't know anything about marriages or whereabouts of these cousins. Mom did not remember them coming to her father's funeral.
