Trenton Evening Times, page 10:
"Autos Injure Woman, Man"
Two persons were injured when struck by cars last night in Hamilton Township. Mrs. Bessie Costianes, 60, of 8 Spring Street, Princeton, was admitted to St. Francis Hospital with a cut eye and possible head injuries. Her condition today was reported as satisfactory. John S. Harris, 62, of 1509 Cornell Avenue, suffered multiple body bruises but declined hospital treatment. Police said Mrs. Costianes was struck by a car driven by Willis Bray, 35, of 1133 Nottingham Way, at Greenwood and Johnston Avenues. Bray was charged with careless driving. Harris was hit as he stepped out of the passenger side of his car parked on Cedar Lane, near Pitman Avenue, police reported. The victim was knocked to the road, but police said the car did not stop. Patrolman John Skwarek is continuing the investigation.

Bessie Costianes
A prayer service for Bessie Costianes (Costas) of Princeton will be held Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. in the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Ave., Princeton. Funeral services will follow Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in St. George Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Road. The Rev. Peter A. Atsales will officiate. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Trisagion service will be held Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. George Orthodox Church. Mrs. Costianes died Saturday in Princeton Medical Center. Born in Sparta Greece,she lived in Princeton for 50 years. She was a member of the Philoptochos Society of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Trenton. Widow ofLouis Costianes she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Amanda C. Moore of Princeton Junction; a son, Harry L. Costas of Hazelton, Pa.; four granchildren and several nieces and nephews.
