The petition of Eleas Costianes
First. My place of residence is 590 Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa.
Second. My occupation is cook.
Third. I was born on the 28th day of September 1892 at Sparta, Greece
Fourth. I emigrated to the United States from Havre on or about the 7th day of October, 1907 and arrived in the United States at the port of New York on the 14th day of October, 1907 on the vessel La Touraline.
Fifth. I declared my intention to become a citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March 1919 at Philadelphia in the ? Court of Philadelphia County.
Sixth. I am married. My wife's name is Vassiliki; she was born on the 1st day of May 1903 at Greece and now resides with me.
I have one children and the name, date and place of birth and residence of each is:

Seventh. ...renounce all allegiance to the present government of Greece.
Eighth. I am able to speak the English language.
Ninth. I have resided continuously in the United States of America for the term of five years at least, immediately preceding the date of this petition to wit, since the 14th day of Oct 1907, and in the state of Pennsylvania, continuously next preceding the date of this petition, since the 14th day of do [ditto] 1907, being a residence within this State of at least one year next preceding the date of this petition.

Record-Argus newspaper, Greenville, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, December 7 1937, page 6:Mr. & Mrs. John Costianes, Louis and Bertha Costianes and Mr. and Mres. Milton Ketchy were among the guests at the wedding in Medvilla of Miss Athena Aiexatos and Daniel Mathews, which took place at the Greek orthodox Church on Sunday afternoon. Louis Costianes was the soloist at the entertainment held during the reception at the Kepler hotel. His sister was his accompanist.

Committees Organize for Intensive Relief Campaign
Funds for the civilian population of Greece will be raised in the Trenton area by a committee named last night at a war-aid session held in the Athenian Room
at the Savoy Restaurant. Committees from eight Greek War Relief Associations were appointed to direct the drive, the proceeds from which will be used to supply medical aid, food and clothing. Three are Trenton groups and the other five will canvas the suburban districts....

Louis A. Costianes, Owned Restaurant
PRINCETON--Louis A. Costianes (Costas); 73, former co-owner of the G & L Restaurant on Witherspoon Street, died Friday at his home, 8 Spring Street, Princeton, after a short illness. Born in Goritza, Sparta, Greece, Mr. Costianes had been a resident of Princeton for 35 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Betty Eftaxia Costianes. Mr. Costianes and his brother, John A. Costianes of Princeton, owned the restaurant for many years before retiring in 1960. He was a member of the Order of Ahepa, Lodge 72 of Trenton and the Princeton Philatelic Society. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Amanda C. Moore of Princeton Junction; a son, Harry L. of Hazelton, Pa.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kimble Funeral Home, 1 Hamilton Avenue, Princeton, with prayers by the Rev. Nicholas Terezakis. Services will continue at the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, Mercer and Market Streets, Trenton. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The service of the Trisagion will be read at 4 p.m.
