Arthur's Greek name was Aristede.
Nicholas J. Pappas Personal History, January 1999 (in possession of Carol Kostakos Petranek) states: "Arthur devoted his life to Pappas Restaurant on 3rd Avenue, eventually becoming manager and owner.... He helped pay my tuition fees at Virginia Tech. I also remember him taking me to ball games and to the NY Paramount Theater to see and hear Benny Goodman and his band. Emphysema, caused by his smoking, cut short his life span. This also was the cause of death of my brother Peter."
Areti Kostakos Lambrinos mentioned an Arthur Pappas family in Perth Amboy, New Jersey - she may have more information (Aug. 2, 2003 visit with Carol Petranek, Georgios Kostakos & Catherine Kostakos).
