Individual Details
Maria Anna DEARDORFF
(18 September 1817 - 15 January 1894)
Anna's descendants are numerous and many of them possessed remarkable energy and intelligence.
I originally had her death place as Oregon. I changed it to Donald Lerew's Oakland, CA.,
May 1997.
Chet Peters book has Oregon also.
Anna and her husband trekked overland to Idaho in 1852. They did not stay there, but went on down to Southern Oregon, arriving there in 1854. They finally settled in the Umpqua Valley, 10 mi. west of Oakland, Douglas County. They lived in that area until Anna's death.
