From "Misc. Notes on the Deardorff Family", From the Collections of the Riley County Genealogical Society, Manhattan, KS, Show that David moved to Indiana about 1827, and moved to Iowa around 1840. I originally had that he died in Cedar, Missouri (?) This collection had Cedar County, Indiana.
Per Chet Peters book, he also went to Cedar Co., Missouri, near Jerico Springs in 1856 where he lived the rest of his life.
