Christian DEARDORFF

(17 January 1805 - 14 December 1884)

From "Misc. Notes on the Deardorff Family", From the Collections of the Riley County Genealogical Society, Manhattan, KS, settled on farm, 10 miles east of Portland.

Chet Peter's book: Christian moved with his parents from Bedford C., Va. to Highland Co. Ohio in about 1796, then to Union Co., Indiana. From there they moved westward two different times, first to Burlington , Iowa, then overland by wagon train to Oregon Territory, arriving in Oregon the fall of 1850. Applied for and secured a tract of 630 acres on Donation Land near Milwaukee, Clackamas Co., Oregon. He lived there until his death. Will is listed in Will Book 4, p. 97, Vol. 3, Clackamas Co., Oregon.
