Death
GASTONIA, N.C. - The graveside service for Mr. John Daniel Furr, 58, of 1119 W. 7th Ave., who died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 1994, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grover Cemetery in Grover, N.C., with the Rev. Chuck Dalton officiating. Mr. Furr was the owner of Custom Upholstery Shop. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Barrett Furr; seven sons, Johnny Furr of Rock Hill, Eric Furr of Fort Mill and Jerry Arrendale, Larry Arrendale, Dennis Arrendale, Tim Arrendale and Mike Arrendale, all of Gastonia; his daughter, Tina Marie Jolly of Gastonia; his brother, Rufus Lee Furr of Lake Wylie; four sisters, Louise Covington of Rock Hill, Ella Mae McManus, Margaret Helms and Zoreta Furr, all of Fort Mill; and nine grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the home. McLean & Son Funeral Home is in charge.The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, January 25, 1994
