Death
Miss Thelma Blanche Furr, 32, of Fort Mill, Rt. 1, died at York County Hospital Saturday night after an extended illness. Funeral was to be at 4 p.m. today at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. George Richman and the Rev. David M. Wooten in charge. Burial was to be in the church cemetery. Miss Furr was born April 7, 1927, in Mecklenburg County, N.C. She attended schools in Pineville, N.C., and had lived in the Flint Hill section of York County for the past 18 years. She had been employed at Springs Mills for the past 12 years. Survivors include the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Furr; four sisters, Mrs. Lewis Helms and Mrs. Ernest McManus of Fort Mill, Misses Zorado and Louise Furr, both of the home; two brothers, Rufus and D.
