Death
Margie Lynn Furr Blythe, 55, of North Charleston, widow of Donald Blythe, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. Interment to follow at Carolina Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2005 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include her mother, Margie Lee Furr of Summerville, SC; sisters, Selah Furr DeSanto of Summerville, SC and Helen Furr Hall of Hope Mills, NC; brothers, Hurley Furr, Jr. of Earhardt, SC, Jack Furr of Summerville, SC, Jimmy Furr of Cottageville, SC, and Steve Furr of Simpsonville, SC. Also included are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband, Donald Blythe; father, Hurley Furr, Sr., and brother, David Furr. Mrs. Blythe was born July 14, 1949 in Charleston, SC. She was the daughter of Hurley Furr, Sr. and Margie Lee Furr. Mrs. Blythe attended college at Charleston Southern University. She was a retired secretary for the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Mrs. Blythe is Nazarene in faith. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Association for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) -P.O. Box, 30835 Charleston, SC 29417.
