Death
WEST END — Reid Furr, 75, died Tuesday in Moore Memorial Hospital in Pinehurst. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in West End United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert Ray. Burial will be in West End Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Green Furr; three sons, Billy Furr of Pinebluff, Jerry Wayne Furr of Newport News, Va., and Daniel C. Furr of Spring Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Craven of Burlington and Mrs. Patricia Blackmon of Pinebluff; a brother, Neil Furr of West End; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Harris of West End, Mrs. Betty Harrison of Newport News and Mrs. Helen Maness of Asheboro; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.The Herald-Sun, Durham, North Carolina, April 19, 1984
