Death
ALBEMARLE — Henry W. Furr, 88, a Stanly County native and retired merchant of Slater, S. C., died Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Slater Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. C. L. Smith. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Albemarle, at 4 p.m. with graveside rites conducted by the Rev. L. D. Munn. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. J. Lebesque, of Greenville, S. C., Mrs. Frank Haley, of Albany, Ga., Mrs, W. H. Fann, of Slater, S. C., Mrs. J. F. Skidmore, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. F. L. Russell, of Pittsburgh, Pa. and three sons, W. B., B. H., and R. C. Furr, all of Rome, Ga.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, April 21, 1966
