Death
BADIN — Mrs. Henry W, Furr 73, died Wednesday at her home on the Badin-Albemarle Road following an illness of several months. Funeral services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Badin Baptist Church of which she was a member. The Rev, William S. Canon will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle. The former Jennie Lou Tucker, she was the daughter of the late W. Ashley Tucker and Myrtle Almond Tucker of Albemarle. Surviving are her husband, five daughters, Mrs. J. E. Levesque, of Greenville, S. C., Mrs. A. G. Fisher Jr., of Cheraw, S. C., Mrs. W. H. Fann, of Slater, S. C., Mrs. J. F. Skidmore, of Norfolk, and Mrs. F. L. Russell, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sons, Bartney B. and W. B. Furr, of Rome, Ga., and R. C. Furr of Columbia, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Vernie Ward, of Birmingham, Ala., and one brother, Vann Tucker, of Albemarle. Active pallbearers will be Clyde Runnage, Claude Coggins, Joe Leonard, P. L. Brown, Dr. R. G. Miller, N. A. Hayes, Jack Lanning and Ralph Marbry.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, May 5, 1960
