Death
Mrs. Katherine Furr Fann, 61, of 12 E. Chaucer Road, Northwood Hills, wife of W. H. (Bill) Fann, died Sunday. A native of Stanley County, N. C., she was a daughter of the late Henry W. and Jennie Tucker Furr. She moved to Greenville in 1954 from North Carolina and was a member of Slater United Methodist Church. Surviving also are a daughter, Jennifer Kaye Fann Watkins of Greenville; a son, W. H. (Billy) Fann, Jr. of Greenville; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Levesque of Titusville, Fla., Mrs. Jean Haley of Auburn, Ga., Mrs. Rose Skidmore of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mrs. Betty Jo Russell of Eufaula, Ala.; two brothers, B. H. Furr and Ward B. Furr both of Rome, Ga. and three grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. William R. Claytor Jr. at the Chapel of the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Interment will be in Grand View Memorial Gardens, Travelers Rest. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The Greenville News, Greenville, South Carolina, April 5, 1982
