Death
Services for Walter Tate Furr, 2085 Elzey, retired carpenter and resident of Memphis more than 30 years, who died at 8:30 o’clock Thursday night after three years of ill health, will be held at 10 o'clock this morning at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. The Rev. V. E. Boston will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill. He was 72. Born and reared in Marshall County, Miss., Mr. Furr was a farmer near Holly Springs before he moved to Memphis. He was employed as an expressman for 11 years. Heart trouble forced him to retire from his carpenter's trade about three years ago. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Louis Lieben, and two sons, Henry and Fred Furr, all of Memphis.The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, Tennessee, October 2, 1943
