Death
Mrs. Hester Ann Furr, the subject of this memoir was born July 5, 1831, in Hanover county, Virginia, and died at the home of her grandson, Rugene A. Anderson, near Memphis, Tenn. Between these two dates a long, and beautiful life was lived. She was the daughter of Steven and Louisa J. Knapp. She was married to Caleb T. Furr, in Holly Springs, Miss., April 28, 1850. Ten children were born to these parents, all of whom survive. Augustus F. Furr, Memphis; Henry C. Furr, Hickory Flat; Sallie EK. Street, Memphis; Isaac G.
