Death
William Cecil Furr, native of Holly Springs, died last Thursday at his home in New Albany. Funeral services were held Friday from the First Methodist Church in New Albany, of which he had been a steward for twenty-five years, conduct by Rev. N. J. Golding the pastor, assisted by the Baptist and Presbyterian ministers. Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maud Snider Furr, and an adopted daughter, Elizabeth; two sisters and four brothers, Isaac. G. Furr of Holly Springs, Mrs. Ida Whitesides of Hickory Flat; Mrs. Sallie Street, A. F. (Gus), Walter T., and Leonard: C. Furr of Memphis. He was son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Caleb Furr of this city. Mr. Furr had long been a resident of New Albany and married there, and was held in, high esteem in his adopted home.Endnotes
