Death
Tyler, Texas, Jan. 4 (Special) — Mrs. Hester Jane Whiteside, 68 years old, who died at her home Monday following a year of feeble health, was buried Tuesday at Pleasant Retreat cemetery, the Rev. I. E. Thomas and the Rev. T. H. Etheridge of Tyler and the Rev. Clyde Woodard of Jacksonville jointly conducting the funeral services. The deceased was born and reared in Mississippi!, moving to Tyler more than 30 years ago. She was a member of the Pleasant Retreat Methodist church, and took an active part in church activities. Besides the widower, J. N. Whiteside, she is survived by two sons, E. N Whiteside and J. R. Whiteside, both of Tyler, and several sisters and brothers.Endnotes
