ALBEMARLE Minnie Green Hahn Furr Hinson, 91, of Route 6, died Feb. 11, 1990, at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lefler Memorial Chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. George Grissom, Minister Al Goff and Minister Richard Raschke. Burial will be the Fairview Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home in Albemarle from 7 to 9 tonight. Born March 17, 1898, in Stanly County, Mrs. Hinson was a daughter of the late Caleb Riley and Cora Mae Lowder Green. A retired textile worker, she was a member of Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church. Her husband, Rev. Arthur L. Hinson, preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, the Rev. Mahlon L. Furr and Colan B. Furr, both of Albemarle, and J.D. Furr of Richfield; five daughters, Edna H. Bailey of New London, Eltis H. Lankford of Trinity, Alma Bailey and Clara Redwine, both of Albemarle, and Ramelle Norton of Winston-Salem. Also, four stepdaughters, Ruby Earnhardt of Kannapolis, Ramelle Reagan of Concord, Joyce Lambert of Mount Pleasant and Willene Belvin of Lake Norman; a brother, Dennis Green of West End; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.Death
ALBEMARLE — The funeral for Tillman Lee Furr, 80, of Rt. 5, who died Saturday at his home, was to be today at 2 p.m. at the Stanly Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Sam McCracken and the Rev. Steve Bluebough. Burial was to be at Centergrove Methodist Church Cemetery in Cabarrus County. Mr. Furr was born Aug. 12, 1898, in Stanly County, a son of the late Jesse and Sarah Bowers Furr. He was a retired farmer and employee of American-Efird Mills. His wife, Quessie Shinn Furr, died in 1952. Surviving are three sons, the Rev. Mahlon Furr of Lancaster, S.C., Colan Furr of Albemarle and J. D. Furr of Richfield, three daughters, Mrs. Alma Jane Bailey and Mrs. Clara Redwine both of Albemarle, and Mrs. Ramelle Norton of King. Two stepdaughters, Mrs. Edna Bailey of Rt. 1, New London and Mrs. Eltis Roberts of Thomasville, a brother, Luther Furr of Ft. Mill, S.C., and five half-brothers, Henry Furr of Pineville, the Rev. Gene Furr of Cadillac, Mich., Winnie and Murray Furr both of Tampa, Fla. and Marion Furr of Richmond, Va.Endnotes
