Notes
Death
Mrs. Dorothy Anne Adline Bass, wife of Mr. M. H. Bass, passed away at her home near Georgeville on last Tuesday morning at 1:20 o'clock after a period of illness that had continued for four weeks, which was followed by a stroke of paralysis. The remains were laid to rest in Center Grove Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. A. Stamper. Mrs. Bass was born November 24, 1887, and was therefore 28 years, 5 months and 29 days old. She was a daughter of Mr. J. C. Furr, and is survived by a husband and five children, the youngest being only 5 weeks old. The deceased was a loyal member of Center Grove Methodist church and was well known and loved by all. As a woman she always met life’s duty with a smile, always at her post of duty. She was a tender and devoted mother and indulbent wife, a kind, sympathetic and loyal friend. We extend to brothers and sisters and especially the good husband and children, our deepest sympathy, and pray that the bod Lord will console their broken hearts and so help them to live that they may see their loved one againThe Concord Times, Concord, North Carolina, May 29, 1916
