Notes
Death
An esteemed Albemarle lady, Mrs. Sarah M. Tucker, was called by death Thursday morning at 7 o'clock at the home of her son, R. J. Tucker, in West Albemarle. Mrs. Tucker was about 74 years of age, and for several months had been in declining health. In recent weeks she had steadily become worse, and her death was not unexpected. Mrs. Tucker had been a member of West Albemarle Baptist church for a number of years, and took a deep interest in the work of her church and all things religious. She had the faculty of making friends, and will be sincerely mourned by those who knew her. Complete funeral plans had not been announced yesterday other than that burial would take place at Bear Creek church some time Friday afternoon. Surviving are four sons, Robert, John, Ernest and Arlie, and two daughters, Mrs. William Green and Mrs. Fletcher Crisco, all of this county.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, August 18, 1933
