Death
HIGH POINT, April 19. — John A. Furr, 55, died at a local hospital last night. A native of Cabarrus County, he came to High Point 31 years ago from Concord. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nell Furr of High Point; two daughters, Mrs. Edna Dotson of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. James Suggs of High Point; six sons, Thurman, Mack, Clinton N., Bobby Lee, Ray F., and Guy B. Furr, all of High Point. Funeral will be at the home, 1219 Redding Street, at 4 p. m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, April 20, 1949
