Death
ARCHDALE — Ray Franklin Furr, 48, of Rt. 4, Trinity, died Friday at High Point Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Cumby Archdale Funeral Home with the Rev. John Osteen and the Rev. Pat Ray officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park. He was a native of High Point and an employee of Monarch Furniture Co. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Opal H. Furr; daughter, Mrs. Tammy Anderson of Trinity; sons, Sparky, Shane and Johnny Furr of Trinity; brothers, Thurman Furr of Long Beach, Mack Furr of Galax, Va., Clint Furr of Norfolk, Va., Bobby Furr of Alexandria, Va., Guy Furr of High Point; one grandchild. The family will be at the funeral home 1-9 p.m. today.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, July 17, 1982
