Death
MORGANTON - Kenneth Wilson Furr, 54, of 300 Enola Road, J. Riddle Dev. Center, died Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Grace Hospital. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Midland with the Rev. Johnny A. Phillips officiating. Burial will be at St. Stephens Wesleyan Church Cemetery, Concord. Mr. Furr was born Oct. 23, 1951 the son of the late Roy Wilson Furr and the late Evelyn Beatrice Fink Furr. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Eudy, who was his guardian. Survivors include his brothers, Larry Furr and wife, Kathy, of Stanfield, Curtis Furr and wife, Sheila, of Stanfield, Ronald Furr and wife, Jane, of Oakboro and Tommy Furr and wife, Vivian, of Stanfield; sisters, Geraldine Fink and husband, Bub, of Mount Pleasant and Carolyn Torrence and husband, Rick of Stanfield; brother-in-law, Edward Eudy of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews that he helped raise. The family will meet at the home of his sister, Geraldine Fink, 5575 Barrier-Georgeville Road, Mount Pleasant.
