Death
Evelyn Beatrice Fink Furr, 77, of 141 Oak St, Stanfield, died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, in NorthEast Medical Center. Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday with a 30-minute state in Kinza Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. Tom Zeigler will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born April 5, 1924, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Noah Daniel and Lectie Cerella Furr Fink and was a homemaker. She was a member of Kinza Memorial Baptist Church. A brother, Claude Fink, and three sisters, Melvyn Louise Little, Odessa Trull and Lena Love Allen, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Roy Wilson Furr of Stanfield; five sons, Larry Furr, Tommy Furr and Curtis Furr, all of Stanfield, Ronald Furr of Oakboro and Kenneth Furr of Morganton; three daughters, Geraldine Fink and Carolyn Torrence, both of Stanfield, and Shirley Eudy of Locust; three sisters, Patsy Street of Stanfield, Ila Martin of Charlotte and Atha Love of Albemarle; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Memorials may be made to West Stanly Christian Ministry, PO. Box 27, Stanfield, N.C. 28163.
