Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Flossie Furr Wilson, 55, of 205 East Third street will be conducted Friday at 5 p. m. at First Baptist Church. Dr. Charles C. Coffey, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The body will lie in state at Lady’s Funeral Home from 5 p. m. today until taken to the church to lie in state 15 minute (sic) prior to the rites. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 until 9 p. m. Mrs. Wilson died at 9:50 p. m. Wednesday at her home. In declining health a year, she was seriously ill four weeks. She was a native of Cabarrus county, daughter of the late E. A. Furr and Mrs. Mary Davis Furr. She was employed in the Cannon Mills Plant 1 sewing department. Surviving are her husband Floyd H. Wilson; two sons, Floyd Wilson of Raleigh and Forrest Wilson of Orlando, Fla. one daughter, Mrs. Carol Eller of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, James Jackson Furr of Kannapolis and Macon Furr of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Thelma Godfrey of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren.Independent Tribune, Concord, North Carolina, April 15, 1965
