Death
ALBEMARLE, April 12. — William F. Furr, 58, died in a hospital Monday morning after a short illness of pneumonia. Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Canton Baptist church. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gaines Furr of this county. He was engaged in farming for many years, and later operated a service station near Albemarle. Surviving are five children, Fred Furr, Mrs. James Carpenter, Mrs. Mary Broadway and Miss Mildred Furr of Albemarle, and Mrs. Mack Castevens of Charlotte. Two brothers, D. F. and F. M. Furr of Thomasville, Mrs. E. M, McCracken and Mrs. F. W. Meismer of Waynesville, also survive.Endnotes
